Our Story

The Brand

After ten years in the vintage / reproduction menswear industry in Paris and Montreal, I took the decision to stop selling other brands and to start my own brand because I wanted to make the clothes I love to wear.
Based in Quebec (Canada), Monsieur Archibald is a one-man brand specializing in menswear aiming to offer mid-century designs at affordable prices .

The Design

My main inspiration is the mid-cntury casual menswear, from the 1920’s to the 1960’s : Shirt jacs, Ricky jackets, Cossack jackets, Loafer jackets among others.
My guiding principle is to stay itrue to the golden era of coolness, which means adopting a laidback approach to revisit classic designs, while paying meticulous attention to detail, sourcing the best quality fabrics and handcrafting everything.

The Production

As Monsieur Archibald is a one-man brand, I am able to control all the process of the production, from the fabrics' selection to the manufacture.
As I am entirely independent, I can assure my customers that all my garments (with the exception of the deadstock section) are carefully crafted in my small workshop with selected imported fabrics (mainly from Italy).
